“Oh God, redeem Mexico from all its anguishes” / 46x70” Mineral, Pigments on board.
I was working on this piece, which is part of the “Cycles” Collection which will be exhibited this year in Dallas.
Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.
- Habakkuk 1: 3-4
I have been working for almost two years in this collection, based on Mathew 24, which shows a visual interpretation of the prophecy described in that chapter, given by Jesus,we see more and more clearer in this times that there is a groan of the earth and the creation, nature is shaken with more frecquency, ideologies are streaming into new movements, governments are reflected in their peoples, nations are hurting, inmorality and injustice grow each day, sin multiplies, evil is giving birth to wicked mind sets, control and fear is terrorizing nations like Mexico, Haiti, Chile, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Japan, Libya, these countries show a physical mark of the word spoken on this Book, while in other countries sin is there in a more subtil form.
Where there is abundance of sin, there is also abundance of grace and the love of God will show up filling the hearts of men women and children among the nations, where the weeping will turn into joy, and the Glorious presence of our Lord will be manifested with mercy in the Earth.
