One of the moments I enjoy most is when people interpret my work; their comments are often very similar. Most people see hope and pain, frustration and joy, or storm and peace; this makes me think, every human being goes through this during the process of life, no one can avoid them. Nothing can enrich me more than the creative process, not even the finished piece, the experience in the Studio fills me. When I apply the materials to the surface I feel a sound within me that tells me I will learn something from it, and that the finished piece will fill a space not only physical but in the soul of the spectator. It’s as if my canvass spoke and I find myself engaged in a conversation between my intense need to paint and the strength of the surface while the minerals move and dance; opening a window to a spiritual world that brings me to acknowledge the Creator of all things, and makes me go forward.
I have come to the conclusion that the process is bigger than life itself; recognizing that we are in a process brings freedom, to know that when we die to ourselves then we can truly live. Is at this point where the process begins to glorify the God of creation.
