Death is absorbed by life
¨O death, where is thy sting?¨, says Paul in one of his Letters.
I asked myself these days, how can death be destroyed? And I thought “With life itself”
And I am not talking about the corruptible life, but eternal life.
I normally work with my paintings by collection, but this time I worked in this piece only exercising a much daring contrast of color, but at the same time, trying to find harmony at the same time that I call for contrast, for the theme of this work is the contrast between death and life. Trying to manifest with radiant colors life which absorbs death, which is represented with dark tones.
I found myself between the roughness of texture and the richness of color, and how they find themselves in harmony just like life and death are found in the process towards eternity, trying to harmonize with the course of life experiences that every men seeks to find life, and I am not talking about our natural birth, but life after death, in other words, to be born again.
To sow in the path of life is to die little by little. Before a seed can give its fruit it must suffer a transformation, so our being does not come to life unless we die first.
It is very easy for us to understand that dying to ourselves brings forth spiritual fruit, for we are born in this body which is corruptible, and its necessary to be born again in the spiritual, the incorruptible and being born again are related to dying to our selfishness in order to open our doors to love.
To triumph over death has a lot to do with having victory over our sin, which is the sting of death. Victory is found in life itself.
